'Polylong' Type Sets

Polylong was a Meccano-like construction system similar to Eitech Construction. It was made in China from around 2003 to 2010. For details see the Polylong[1] page.

Shortly afterwards one or more other Chinese manufacturers also started making very similar Eitech look-alike sets. These were usually made for companies in other countries throughout the world who would then sell them under their own names/brands. Because of their similarity to the original Polylong these have been classified as 'Polylong' Type Sets.

There are two types of 'Polylong' Type Sets:-
Polylong[1a] - These have 10mm hole spacing and many/most of the parts are identical to Eitech Construction parts.
Polylong[2] - These have the same design of parts as Polylong[1a], but scaled up to a 11mm hole pitch. Seen in some Happy People sets, and possibly others.

Some sets have been seen that have a mixture of Polylong[1a] parts together with some 'Meccano-like' parts with standard 12.7mm (1/2") hole spacing.

For a list of most of the known 'Polylong' Type Sets see here.

Some of the 'Polylong' Type Sets have photos/manuals on this website under their own names. To find them all, use the search facility for Polylong sets at the top of this page

Where there are photos and manuals of these sets then the systems to which they belong are listed separately on this website.

However there is also an instruction leaflet for an unidentified Polylong' type set below

An instruction leaflet giving details of four small models. Thought to date from the 2000s.
